Get involved in saving your wilderness...
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP
If you have an hour or two to spare each week - if you have more or less - your help is needed. We can work together to enact change and protect our valuable native forests. Please take the time to fill in the ‘What I Can Do To Help’ form below. Our forests deserve more value than to be fuel for industry furnaces. The time to act is now!
Climate change is high on the political agenda. The carbon package has eliminated native forest biomass from the list of renewable energy sources and removed the subsidy that was underpinning industry hopes for this reckless destructive industry. The logging industry is plainly unviable and change is inevitable. Together we can make a difference.
BANNER MAKING. Banner making is simple and important. It can be social. Invite a few friends around or get your family together to make some colourful banners for upcoming rallies and events. 'Save our Forests, Stop Logging' and 'Forests for the Future' are a couple of simple examples of slogans you can use.
TELL MY FRIENDS. The more people that know about our campaign the more effective we will be. Encourage people to visit this site for information and talk about the issues with people you know and meet.
ASSIST ON INFORMATION STALLS. We will be holding regular information stalls around the metro and country area to raise awareness of the issues facing our unique and ecologically valuable native forests. Your assistance would be very much appreciated. Resource kits and briefings will be provided.
SUPPORT BY DONATION/PLEDGE. Every campaign requires funds to be effective. Cockatoo cams, a TV quality video camera & other equipment are desperately needed. All donations will support the WA Forest Alliance.
LOBBYING.Lobbying is a powerful political tool. If you have experience in this area or would like to learn please let us know. Your local politicians need to know that you are against wasting this valuable natural resource.
RESEARCH.Research is something that can be done at home in your own time and will assist the campaign.
SOCIAL MEDIA. We are in a technological age where social media is emerging as a most powerful political tool. If you have expertise in social media or web page design you could be crucial in this campaign.
LETTER BOXDROPS. Letter box drops will be conducted in the coming months to spread the word of the new threats to our forests. If you have some time to spare and like to walk please tick the box below.
Below are a few more ideas of how you can be involved in the campaign. You can download this form using the link below, fill it in and email it to us through the contact us link above or just use it for inspiration and send us an email to get in touch.
